ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Design review

Design review is like showing a grown-up your drawing and asking them what they think about it. When people make important things like buildings, cars, or even video games, they have to make a plan first. This plan is called a design. Then, other grown-ups who know a lot about what needs to go into making that thing work well look at the design and say if they think it will work or if it needs to be changed.

Sometimes, the people who made the design can take the grown-up's advice and make some changes before making the real thing. This way, they can make sure that the real thing will be safe, work well, and make people happy. It's like building with Legos - you can change things around until you have the coolest tower ever! The grown-ups making the important things do the same thing, but instead of Legos, they use special computer programs and drawings to change the design.

So, a design review is like getting lots of grown-ups to look at your plan and making sure it's good before you make the real thing. This way, you can make sure that everyone will love your creation!
