Detective fiction

Detective fiction is a type of story where a person or group of people solve a crime or a mystery. Usually, a detective has to figure out who did the crime and why, and catch them. They often look for clues and evidence and must use their clever thinking skills to find out what happened. Detective stories are lots of fun to read and are like solving a puzzle.
