ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Devfsd

Devfsd stands for "device file system daemon". It is a program that runs on computers that helps to manage the way files are organized. It helps to make sure that when you are trying to save a file (like a picture, video, or document), the computer knows exactly where to put it, so that you can easily find it later. It also helps make sure that different programs are using the same files in the correct way – for example, that the same font is used in all the programs you are using.
