Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism

Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism are both related to Marxism - a type of philosophy that looks at how people interact with each other and the world around them.

Dialectical Materialism means that the world is always changing, and that things are never fixed - there is always a process of change and development. It looks at how people interact with the world around them, and how different situations and relationships can lead to changes in society.

Historical Materialism tries to explain how different societies have changed over time, and how they have shaped the way things are today. It looks at how different kinds of production, like farming or industrial production, can affect how people think and how they interact with each other. It argues that people's beliefs and behaviour will change based on the different kind of production they are dealing with.
