ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Digital Signal 0

Digital Signal 0, or DS0 for short, is like a little package of information that travels through phone lines. Imagine it like a tiny toy car that goes down a track.

Now, this little car can carry a small amount of information, like a word or a number. It's the same with DS0, it carries a small piece of information called a digital voice signal. This signal can be someone's voice or a sound like music.

DS0 is important because it allows us to make phone calls and hear each other's voices through the telephone. Without DS0, we wouldn't be able to talk on our phones like we do today.

So the next time you talk on the phone, remember that your voice is traveling as a DS0 through the phone lines to the person on the other end!
