Dioceses of the Church of the East, 1318–1552

Okay kiddo, so there's this big church called the Church of the East and it's been around for a long time. But a long time ago, around the years 1318 to 1552, the church was divided into smaller groups called dioceses.

Think of it like a big pizza that was cut into smaller slices. Each slice is a diocese. Each diocese had its own leader called a bishop, who was in charge of all the people in that area.

These dioceses were spread out over a really big area, including places like Iraq, Syria, and even parts of India and China. So the leaders of these dioceses had to work together to make sure everyone in their areas was being taken care of properly.

But eventually, the dioceses started to merge together and become bigger again. And now, the Church of the East is still around and has one leader called the Patriarch, who oversees everything.

And that's a very simplified explanation of the dioceses of the Church of the East.
