Dioptrics

Dioptrics is a big word that just means how well we can see things. Think of your eyes like cameras, they take pictures of what you are looking at and send that picture to your brain. But sometimes, our eyes need a bit of help seeing things clearly.

This help comes from glasses or contact lenses, which have a special prescription called "diopters" that tell the lenses how much they need to bend the light that comes into our eyes. When the light is bent just right, it helps our eyes focus and see things clearly.

So, the higher the number of diopters on your glasses or contacts, the stronger they are and the better they can help you see. But, it's important to have an eye doctor check your eyes to find out exactly what kind of diopters you need so you can see as clearly as possible!
