ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Diphilus

Okay, so diphilus is a type of tiny creature that belongs to a group of animals called nematodes. These creatures are so small that you need a microscope to see them! Diphilus worms are usually found living in soil or water, and they can be either free-living or parasitic, which means they live on or inside other animals.

Now, one interesting thing about diphilus worms is that they have two openings in their bodies: one for eating and one for pooping. This is called a "complete digestive system," and it's what allows them to eat and digest food just like we do!

There are many different species of diphilus worms, and some of them are even used in scientific research to study things like genetics and behavior. However, some species can also be harmful to humans and animals, so it's always important to be careful when handling soil or water where these tiny creatures might be living!
