Dirk

Okay, kiddo, a dirk is a special kind of knife! It's usually really sharp and has a pointy end but also a bit of a curve to the blade.

Sometimes people use dirks for fishing or hunting, but in the old days, Scottish warriors called Highlanders used dirks as part of their traditional dress. They would wear them in a special sheath on their belts as a symbol of their bravery and manhood.
