Discrete wavelet transform

Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is a way to break apart information, like a puzzle. We can take a complicated picture or sound and break it apart into smaller pieces using DWT. Then, if we want to send or store it, we can send or store the pieces, and put them back together when we want to look at the original picture. This way, it’s a lot easier to send and store the information.
