ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Disemvoweling

Okay kiddo, so disemvoweling is when you take the vowels out of words or sentences. Vowels are the letters that make sounds like "a," "e," "i," "o," and "u."

When we take out the vowels, it can make the words or sentences harder to read, because it might be tricky to figure out which letters make which sounds.

Some people use disemvoweling as a way to make a message harder to understand or to show that they don't like what someone is saying. But it's not a very nice thing to do, because it can make it hard for people to get your message in a clear way.

So, it's better to use regular words and sentences, with all the vowels in place, so that everyone can understand what you're saying.
