ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Displacement ventilation

Displacement ventilation is like when you open the window to let the fresh air in. But instead of the window, we have special vents on the floor or maybe on the ceiling. The air is cooler and cleaner and it stays low in the room. That way, it can push all the old, warm air up and out of the room. And when the old air goes out, the new air can take its place, which makes the room feel nice and fresh. Just like how you feel better when you breathe fresh air outside!
