Distracted driving

Distracted driving is when people don't focus on driving and do other things which take their attention away from the road. This is like when you are playing with your toys or watching your favorite cartoon, and your mom or dad asks you to do something else like clean your room. You might stop playing with your toys or watching your cartoons, and start doing the other thing your mom or dad asked you to do.

Similarly, when people are driving, they can do things other than just driving, like talking to someone on the phone, texting, eating, drinking, or even putting on makeup. This means they aren't paying attention to the road, and might not see things like stop signs, traffic lights, or other cars. It's dangerous because if they don't see these things, they might crash their car, which can hurt them or other people.
