Distributed manufacturing

Distributed manufacturing is a way of making products in which the production process is spread out over different locations instead of being done in just one place. This could be done by having some parts of the process being done in different cities or countries or by having each part of the process handled by a different company. This way of producing things lets companies make more products with fewer resources and be more efficient.
