Distributed parameter systems

Distributed parameter systems are like a system of pipes that are connected together. The pipes can be connected in many different ways and can go different directions. Water is put into one end of the system and travels through the pipes to the other end. At each point along the way, the water has different properties, like temperature and pressure. These properties can be measured and combined to see how well the system is working.
