Distribution board

Okay kiddo, a distribution board is kind of like a big power switchboard for your house or building. You know how you have a bunch of electrical things in your room, like your lamp, TV, and game console? They all need electricity to work, right?

Well, the distribution board is where all that electricity comes from. It's usually a big metal box with a bunch of switches and circuits inside. When the electricity comes into the building from the power company, it goes through the distribution board first. Then, the switches and circuits inside the board divide up the electricity and send it to different parts of the building where it's needed.

For example, one circuit might go to your bedroom outlet so you can plug in your lamp, another circuit might go to the kitchen for your fridge and stove, and another circuit might go to the living room for your TV and game console.

But why do we need a distribution board? Well, it helps keep everything safe. If too much electricity goes into one circuit, it could cause the wires to get too hot and start a fire. The switches and circuits in the distribution board help prevent this by controlling how much electricity goes to each circuit.

So basically, think of the distribution board like a traffic cop for your electricity. It helps make sure everything gets where it needs to go without causing any accidents or fires.
