Domestication theory

Domestication theory is a theory that explains how people in different cultures have different ideas about how they should treat animals. It says that different cultures have different ways of domesticating animals, like keeping them as pets, milking them for milk, or using them for transportation. The theory explains that people in each culture have learned to take care of animals in different ways, depending on what they need them for in their environment. For example, people living in places where there are a lot of wild animals might need to keep them as pets to guard their home, while people living in places where there are no wild animals might use them for transportation or for food.
