Domino theory

The domino theory is a theory that suggests that if one country falls under the influence of communism, then the countries around it will also fall under the influence of communism. It is like a game of dominoes - if you knock down one domino it will knock down the ones next to it. So if one country becomes communist, it will lead to other countries also becoming communist.
