Dot matrix display

A dot matrix display is like a big board filled with tiny little lights called LEDs. Each of these little lights can be turned on or off individually. When you turn on certain lights and leave others off, you can create patterns, shapes, letters, and numbers on the board. It's kind of like making a picture by dotting a page with a pencil, except that you're using lights instead of a pencil. Some dot matrix displays can even change the color of the lights to make more intricate designs. These types of displays are often used for signs, scoreboards, and other displays where messages need to be easily seen from a distance.
