Doublespeak is a kind of language that makes it hard to know what the speaker is really saying. Instead of using plain, easy-to-understand words, doublespeak uses confusing words, long sentences and a lot of jargon. It can make it difficult to tell if the person is telling the truth or if they are just trying to sound clever. Sometimes people use doublespeak to hide the truth or to try to get away with something.
