Doughnut holes

Okay kiddo, have you ever eaten a doughnut before? You know, that yummy, circular pastry with a hole in the middle? Well, sometimes people make a lot of doughnuts and they end up with little pieces of dough left over after they cut out the hole in the middle. Those little pieces of dough are called doughnut holes!

Think about it like if you were making cookies and you used a cookie cutter to cut out little circles of dough. The scraps of dough that are left over after you cut out the circles are like the doughnut holes.

Some people like to eat the doughnut holes because they think they're cute and tasty. They're small and bite-sized, so you can eat a bunch of them without feeling too full. Sometimes people even sell buckets of doughnut holes like popcorn at movie theaters!

So there you have it, kiddo. Doughnut holes are just little pieces of dough that are leftover when you cut out the middle of a doughnut, and they're yummy to eat!
