Doxastic attitudes

Hey there! Doxastic attitudes are all about how we feel and think about different beliefs or ideas.

Think of it like this: imagine you have a toy car, but your friend says it's actually a toy truck. You could either believe your friend, or you could keep believing that it's a car. Those are different doxastic attitudes!

There's a few different types of doxastic attitudes. "Belief" is when you think something is true, like if you believe that Pluto is no longer considered a planet. "Doubt" is when you're not sure if something is true or not. "Disbelief" is when you actively don't think something is true, like if you don't believe in ghosts.

People can have different doxastic attitudes towards the same thing. For example, some people might believe that climate change is caused by humans, while other people might doubt that.

Overall, doxastic attitudes are just a fancy way of talking about how we feel about different beliefs or ideas. It's okay to have different opinions, as long as we respect each other's doxastic attitudes!
