Dredger

A dredger is a big machine that helps to clean up rivers, lakes, and oceans. Just like how you use a spoon to scoop up food, a dredger uses its scoop or cutter head to scoop up sand, rocks, and mud from the bottom of the water body.

Once it scoops up all the debris, it carries the excess material away from the water body and dumps it somewhere else. This process helps to keep the waterway clean and free from things like rocks and silt that could prevent boats from sailing or fish from swimming.

It's important to use a dredger because if the waterway becomes too shallow, boats may get stuck and unable to move through. The dredger helps to remove the extra material that causes the waterway to become too shallow.

Just like how you clean your room and put everything away where it belongs, the dredger cleans up the waterway and leaves it clean and tidy for boats and fish to move through.
