Drone doom

Okay kiddo, so you know how some music can make you feel happy, and some can make you feel sad? Well, drone doom is a type of music that is meant to make you feel really deep, dark and heavy emotions, like fear or hopelessness.

It's called "drone" because it uses a lot of long, sustained notes that don't change much over time. It's a bit like humming the same note over and over again. This creates a sort of hypnotic feeling that can make you feel like you're in a trance.

And it's called "doom" because it's often very slow, heavy, and dark sounding. It's a bit like the opposite of happy, peppy music that makes you want to dance. Instead, drone doom is meant to make you feel like you're sinking into a deep, dark hole.

People who like drone doom music might describe it as "crushing" or "oppressive" because it can be so intense. But for some people, that's exactly what they're looking for in their music.
