Dropsonde

A dropsonde is like a device that helps us to collect important information about the weather. It's like a big tube with a lot of sensors attached to it that can measure things like temperature, pressure, wind speed, and humidity in the air.

When we want to gather information about the weather, we take a dropsonde on a special airplane and release it from the plane. Once it's in the air, it falls towards the ground and sends back information about the air it's passing through.
