Drug recycling is when we take old medicine that has not been used and give it to somebody else. Just like how we recycle plastic bottles and paper so that we can use them again, we can do the same thing with medicine.
Sometimes people have medicine that they don't need anymore because they got better or they didn't use it all. Instead of throwing it away, we can give it to somebody who needs it.
However, it's important to check first if the medicine is still safe to use. We don't want to give somebody medicine that could harm them or make them sick. Doctors or pharmacists will check the medicine to see if it's still okay to use and give it to people who need it.
Drug recycling helps us reduce waste and also helps people who otherwise might not be able to afford medicine. It's kind of like sharing toys with your friends - except in this case, we're sharing medicine with people who need it.
