Drum Corps Associates

Okay kiddo, so you know how there are marching bands in high schools and colleges, right? Well, there are also these really cool marching groups called drum corps. They travel all over the country doing shows and competitions like a big musical army.

Now, Drum Corps Associates (DCA for short) is like a group that helps drum corps do their thing. They make sure that drum corps have rules to follow so that everyone stays safe and has fun. They also help organize competitions called championships where lots of drum corps get together to see who is the best.

Some drum corps are made up of only high school and college students, but others are called "all-age" corps, which means they are made up of people of all ages who just love playing music and marching around. That's where DCA comes in handy because they help make sure everyone knows what they can and can't do to make sure everyone has a good time.

So, think of DCA like a big brother or sister to drum corps, making sure everyone is happy, safe, and having fun while they march and play music. Cool, huh?
