Drum pump

Okay kiddo, a drum pump is a special tool that helps us move liquids, like water or milk, from big drums into smaller containers. It's like having a big straw that can suck up all the liquid and then pour it into another container.

To use a drum pump, we attach it to the top of the drum and turn a little handle to make it start pumping. The pump draws the liquid up through a tube and out of the spout at the other end. Then we can put a hose or nozzle on the spout to control where the liquid goes.

Drum pumps can be really useful for things like filling up car gas tanks, transferring chemicals or oils, or even pumping out a flooded basement. It makes it easier and safer to move liquids without spilling or getting it all over your clothes or hands.

Just remember, drum pumps are not toys and should only be used by grownups who know how to use them safely.
