Dry steering

Okay kiddo, have you ever been in a car and turned the steering wheel while the car was sitting still? That's called dry steering.

Now, normally when you turn the steering wheel, the wheels on the car turn too and the car moves in the direction you want it to go. But when you dry steer, the wheels turn without the car moving.

This might seem like no big deal, but it's actually not good for the car. Dry steering puts a lot of stress on the steering system and tires. It can wear them out faster and even cause them to break down sooner than they should.

So, the next time you're sitting in a car and feel like turning the wheel for fun, remember that it's best to only do it when the car is moving so you don't put extra stress on the steering system and tires.
