Duoplasmatron

Duoplasmatron is a type of machine used in medical treatments. It is used to produce a light beam called ion beams which travels through the air and can be used to treat certain medical conditions. This light beam can be adjusted in size, shape and intensity to make sure it hits the right area to treat the medical issue. The machine works by taking a type of gas, like argon, and heating it up inside the machine. This heats up the gas so much that it starts to split into positively and negatively charged particles (ions) which create the light beam. The duoplasmatron can then be used to focus the light beam and make sure it hits the correct area of the body. In some cases, the duoplasmatron can be combined with other machines, like a CT scanner, to make sure the treatment is effective.
