Durant Motors was a company that made cars a very long time ago, when your great-great-grandparents were young. It was founded by a man named William Durant in 1921.
Durant Motors made a lot of different kinds of cars, but the most popular ones were called "Star" and "Flint". People liked these cars because they were reliable and affordable.
However, in 1933, Durant Motors had to close down because they didn't have enough money to keep going. This happened because a lot of people were losing their jobs and didn't want to buy new cars.
Even though the company is not around anymore, some people still like to collect and restore Durant Motors cars as a hobby.
