Dynamic semantics

Dynamic semantics is a way of understanding the meaning of a word or phrase. Instead of relying on just the dictionary definition of a word, dynamic semantics looks at how a word or phrase is used in different situations. For example, when you say "cat", you might be talking about a small pet, but in another context you might be talking about the sport of soccer. Dynamic semantics takes into account the way a word is used in different situations.
