Dynamic-maturational model of attachment and adaptation

The Dynamic-Maturational Model of Attachment and Adaptation helps us understand how relationships between people (like a parent and child) develop over time and how these relationships affect a person's development. It's based on the idea that people are always learning and changing and that their relationships with others can help or hinder their growth. When a parent and child have a strong, loving relationship, it can help the child to be more flexible, adaptive, and resilient in the face of challenges. On the other hand, when relationships are strained, the child may have difficulty adapting to new situations and struggle with relationships in the future. The Dynamic-Maturational Model looks at how the parent and child interact over time and how those interactions affect the development of the child. It also considers how changes in either the parent or the child can influence the relationship and the child's development.
