Okay kiddo, so there was this thing called EDSA III that happened a long time ago in the Philippines. Remember when we talked about EDSA I and EDSA II? Well, EDSA III was kinda like that but a bit different.
You see, there was this lady named Gloria Macapagal Arroyo who was the President at that time. Some people were not happy with the way she was leading the country and wanted her to step down. These people gathered together in a place called EDSA Shrine, just like in EDSA I and EDSA II, and started to protest.
They wanted a different person to lead the country and were very passionate about it. However, not everyone felt the same way. There were also some people who supported President Arroyo and thought that she should stay in power.
Things got a bit heated and there were some clashes between those who wanted President Arroyo to step down and those who wanted her to stay. The police and military were called to keep things under control and the situation got even more complicated.
In the end, EDSA III did not result in a change of leadership like EDSA I and EDSA II did. President Arroyo remained in power and things eventually calmed down. It may have been confusing and scary at the time, but it taught us a lot about the importance of respectful disagreement and peaceful protest.
