ESA Scientific Research on the International Space Station

ESA stands for the European Space Agency. They are responsible for researching different kinds of science on the International Space Station (ISS). The ISS is a big, floating laboratory in space where scientists study things like how plants and animals grow in the microgravity environment, and how the human body functions without gravity. Scientists also study how the space environment affects things that we use on Earth, like materials and chemicals. ESA scientists on the ISS also study astronomy and explore how the universe works and how it was created.
