Ear instillation

Ear instillation is when a grown-up puts some liquid medicine in a child's ear to help them feel better.

Now, let's pretend your ear is like a tunnel that leads to your brain. Sometimes, bad germs or things like wax can get stuck in there and make your ear hurt or feel weird.

When we use ear instillation, we're using special medicine that helps to get rid of those bad germs or things that might be making your ear uncomfortable. The grown-up will carefully drop a little bit of the medicine into your ear and you'll feel it tickle inside your ear.

After the medicine is in your ear, it gets to work cleaning up any germs or wax that might be bothering you. It's important to sit still for a few minutes so the medicine can work its magic. You might feel a little bit of warmth or tingling, but that's normal!

Remember, ear instillation is just one way to help you feel better and keep your ears clean and healthy!
