East Coast Music Association

Okay kiddo, let me explain what the East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is all about!

The ECMA is a group of people who love music from Canada's eastern provinces - that's the areas on the right side of Canada! These provinces include Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and even some parts of Quebec.

The ECMA was started in 1989 to help musicians from the east coast get more exposure and recognition for their music. They organize a big music festival every year called the East Coast Music Awards Show, where musicians and bands from those provinces can perform and win awards for their music.

The ECMA also helps musicians in lots of other ways. They have programs to help them learn about the music industry and develop their skills, and they offer grants to help them make more music and grow their careers.

So, in short, the East Coast Music Association is a group that supports and promotes musicians from Canada's eastern provinces by organizing events, providing resources and opportunities, and recognizing their talent through awards.
