East End of London in popular culture

So, there's a place called the East End of London. Lots of people live there, and lots of movies and TV shows and songs talk about it. It's kind of famous because a long time ago, it was where lots of working-class people lived and worked in factories and docks.

Nowadays, the East End is still a pretty important part of London, but it's changed a lot. It's becoming more popular with fancy restaurants and shops, so some people are worried that the old East End culture might disappear.

Anyway, when people talk about the East End of London in popular culture, they usually mean things like stories about gangsters (bad guys who do illegal things), or movies about people who are poor but still find a way to have fun and be happy.

Some people like to listen to music that comes from the East End too, especially a kind of music called grime that was invented in the area.

So, that's the East End of London in popular culture - a place where people tell stories and sing songs about working-class life, past and present.
