Okay kiddo, so you know how we count with numbers like 1, 2, 3, right? Well, in some countries like in the Middle East, they use different numbers that look a bit different. These numbers are called Eastern Arabic Numerals.
Instead of just straight lines like we use, Eastern Arabic Numerals have dots and curves to make the numbers. For example, the number 1 has a dot, the number 2 has two dots on top of each other, and the number 3 has three dots in a triangle shape.
These numbers were actually invented a long time ago by people called Hindus in India, and they were brought to the Middle East by traders and travelers. The Eastern Arabic Numerals are now used in many countries including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran.
So next time you see numbers with dots and curves like ١, ٢, ٣, you'll know that they are Eastern Arabic Numerals!
