ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Eastern Standard Tribe

So, imagine you live in a big world with lots of different time zones. That means that when it's daytime where you live, it might be nighttime in another part of the world.

Now, some people have a special group called the Eastern Standard Tribe. They all live in a certain part of the world where they use a time zone called "Eastern Standard Time." This means that no matter what time it is in other parts of the world, the people in the Eastern Standard Tribe all use the same clock and have the same time.

This can be really helpful for things like scheduling meetings or making plans with other people in the tribe. It also means that if someone from outside the tribe wants to talk to someone in the tribe, they need to remember the time difference so they don't call too early in the morning or late at night.

So basically, the Eastern Standard Tribe is just a group of people who all use the same time zone and live in the same area of the world. It's kind of like having a big group of friends who all have the same watch and schedule their days in the same way.
