Okay kiddo, let's talk about Ebed and Gaal!
So, in a really old book called the Bible, there is a story about a man named Ebed. He lived a long time ago in a place called Israel. Ebed was an important man, kind of like a leader or a ruler. He had a son named Gaal, who was also pretty important.
One day, Gaal and his friends were talking about the ruler of the land, a man named Abimelech. They didn't really like him and they said some pretty mean things about him. Gaal even said that he thought he could be a better ruler than Abimelech.
Well, Abimelech found out about what Gaal had said and he was pretty upset. He decided to attack the city where Gaal and his friends lived. But Ebed knew that his son and the other people in the city were in danger, so he came up with a plan.
He convinced Abimelech to let his son and the people in the city go free, by telling him that they didn't really mean what they said and that they would be loyal to him. Abimelech believed Ebed and let them go.
So, thanks to Ebed, his son Gaal and the other people in the city were safe. It was a pretty brave thing that Ebed did, standing up to Abimelech like that. And that's the story of Ebed, the father of Gaal!
