ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Eco-sufficiency

Eco-sufficiency is a big word that means living in a way that doesn't harm the Earth or use up too many of its resources. Think of it like when you play with your toys – if you share them with your friends and take care of them, they'll last longer. It's the same idea with the Earth.

So, eco-sufficiency means using things like water, air, and soil in a way that doesn't hurt them. That way, they can keep working the way they're supposed to. For example, if we use too much water, it can dry up and become hard for plants and animals to live. But if we make sure only to use what we really need, it can stay clean and clear for a long time.

Eco-sufficiency also means being careful with the things we use every day. For example, turning off the lights when we leave a room or not wasting food. That way, we don't use up too many resources and we save money too!

Living eco-sufficiently is good for the Earth, but it's also good for us because we can stay healthy and happy. Plus, it can help protect the Earth for the future.
