ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ecology movement

Ecology is the study of how living things like animals, plants, and people interact with their environment, which means the air, water, land, and all the other things around them. The ecology movement is a group of people who care a lot about making sure that the environment stays healthy so that living things can continue to be happy and healthy too.

Sometimes, people do things that can harm the environment, like polluting the air by driving too much or throwing trash on the ground. The ecology movement helps people understand that these things are not good for the environment and tries to find ways to prevent them from happening. They also try to find ways to help the environment get better if it has been hurt by pollution or other things. This can include recycling things so that they can be used again, using renewable energy like solar or wind power, or planting trees to make the air cleaner.

The ecology movement also reminds people that we are all connected to the environment, and that what we do to the environment can affect us too. So it's important to make sure that we take care of the environment and keep it healthy for us and all the other living things that depend on it.
