ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Economic discrimination

Economic discrimination is when people are treated differently in terms of getting jobs, wealth and other financial opportunities because of their race, gender, religion, age or other factors. For example, some companies may not hire people from certain racial backgrounds even if they are qualified for the job just because of the color of their skin. People from certain groups may also be paid less than others for the same job, and not be able to borrow money from banks as easily. This isn't fair and needs to be ended.
