Economy of Botswana

Botswana is a country in Africa that has a really cool economy. An economy is when a bunch of people work together to make and sell things that other people want to buy.

In Botswana, many people work in mining, which means they find minerals like diamonds and copper deep in the ground. These minerals are really valuable, so Botswana makes a lot of money by mining them and selling them to other countries.

When Botswana first became a country, it was one of the poorest in Africa. But the government did a really good job of making rules to make sure the money from mining was shared fairly. They used the money to build schools, hospitals, and other things that people need to be happy and healthy.

The people of Botswana are also really good at working together and helping each other out. This means that even though the country is still developing, it is doing really well and is considered one of the most stable and prosperous in Africa.
