An ecoregion is like a big neighborhood where all the animals, plants and environment share a lot of things in common. Imagine you and your friends live in a neighborhood where you all have the same kind of houses, trees, and weather. That would be like an ecoregion! Ecoregions are really important because the animals and plants living there have to adapt to the same environment, so they develop similar characteristics. It's like having the same dress code in school! Ecoregions can be found all over the world and they help us understand and protect the diversity of life on this planet.
