ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ed (biblical reference)

In the Bible, "Ed" refers to the descendants of a man named Esau who was the brother of Jacob. Esau's descendants were known as the Edomites, and they lived in a land called Edom. The people of Edom were sometimes friendly with the Israelites (descendants of Jacob), but at other times they were enemies and fought against them. In the Bible, the word "Ed" is often used as a shorthand way of referring to the Edomites or the land of Edom. So when you read about "Ed" in the Bible, it's talking about a group of people who were related to the Israelites but sometimes didn't get along with them.
