Edessa

Edessa was a city a long, long time ago where people lived. It was in a place called Mesopotamia, which is now the country of Turkey. The people who lived there spoke a language called Aramaic, which is a lot different from the language we speak today.

A long time ago, people used to trade things with each other so they could get things they needed. Edessa was a really good place to do that because it was in the middle of a bunch of different places where people had different things to trade. Edessa was also known for making really nice clothing and blankets.
