Edwin Howard Armstrong
Edwin Howard Armstrong was a very smart man who lived a long time ago. He came up with something called "radio", which is like having a way to talk and listen to people who are far away from us without having to go to them directly.
He worked really hard to make radio better and better. He figured out how to send signals over long distances, and he came up with a way to make the sound from the radio much clearer so that people could hear it better.
But, even though he did all these amazing things, some people didn't think they were very important or useful. They even tried to take the credit for Armstrong's inventions themselves, which made him very sad.
