Effects of climate change on human health

Climate change means that our planet is getting warmer, and this is making some things harder for humans. Think about a day in the summer when it is really hot outside. You might feel tired, thirsty, or even sick because your body is working hard to stay cool. This is sort of like what is happening to the Earth - it is getting too warm for some living things to stay healthy.

When the Earth gets warm, it can cause a lot of problems for human health. Here are some examples:

- More heatwaves: Heatwaves are when the weather is hot for a long time, and this can be dangerous for people. When it is really hot, people can feel sick, and some people might even die from too much heat.

- More diseases: When the weather is warmer, some bugs and animals can live in new places where they couldn't before. This can lead to more people getting sick from things like Lyme disease or West Nile virus.

- Food shortages: When the weather is too hot or rainy, crops can't grow as well. This can make it harder for people to have enough food to eat.

There are other things that climate change can do to humans, but these are some of the most important ones. Scientists are working hard to understand how to make sure that people can still be healthy, even as the Earth gets warmer. Some solutions might involve things like using more renewable energy, protecting our forests and other natural areas, or finding new ways to grow food.
